CAW: Noble Bard Characters

Once again I have shown my favoritism for using Lunaii Dollmaker.

Alyse, Kaine, Caalix and Lucretia

These are the four main characters from ‘The Noble Bard’

Alyse is actually the only main character that is a human in this setting. I’m trying to shy away from that.

You’ve already seen images of Alyse and Caalix, so you are somewhat familiar with them.

The other two are Kaine, who is half-Sidhe, and Lucretia, who is a Korrigan.

You may notice that Lucretia, unlike the Korrigan in the sample pictures, does not have wings. This is on purpose. It is also explained in the novel to some extent.

CAW: NB/E Races Maegi

Race avatars made using Lunaii Dollmaker.

Commonly called Maegi (as they are the most magical race), but also called Seelie amongst themselves.

Easily the most reclusive and xenophobic race. The pictures shown are the most common skin tone, but they tan easily and darker skins can be found. Especially among the exiled.

They were, at one time, one of the ruling races, and they are one of the ancient races. However, they are the only of the ancient races that play an important role in the stories.

Ciar, Finn and Mairwen are all Maegi. Finn and Mairwen are specifically exiled Maegi.

CAW: NB/E Races Tomte

Made using Lunaii Dollmaker.

Like the traditional tomte, they look old.

Designed to not only look old, but also to be ugly to most of the other races. This representation is perhaps the least accurate.

They are stockier, their skin is a bit ruddy looking, and I’ve changed their skin colour to a more greyish caucasian look.

Basically, they are meant to look like black-eyes, really sick old people. Not fun.

CAW: NB/E Races Huldra

This race was an easier race to design, and again using Lunaii Dollmaker.

Based off the Scandinavian Huldra, they are pretty similar.

A few notable differences is that they do not become old if you see their back, and that their backs are not hollow tree trunks.

They are closer in appearance to humans, as they live wherever humans live, and of all the fantasy races in the setting, they have the most diverse coloring.

CAW: NB/E Races Haltija

For a little bit here I’m going to be posting races for the Noble Bard and Exiled Setting. While I will be having full pictures included later, right now I am only showing ‘avatars’, so to speak. They were created using Lunaii’s Dollmaker. As such, they are not original artwork.

Haltija

These pictures, of course, are so much cuter than the actual race.

Which are meant to look a little demonic.

When I upload the full pictures of them, you’ll understand the difference.

Caalix is a Haltija.

CAW: Caalix by DeeDeeSteele

Here is Caalix again! Done by the same artist as last week, DeeDeeSteele.

This picture I also like better than the last Caalix picture I posted. The mace looks much more realistic, Caalix looks more demonic (as he’s supposed to), and again, the dynamic pose and coloring get to me.

You’ll notice the symbols on both pictures though. When he was created as a character for Forgotten Realms, he was a Cleric of Selune, the Moon Goddess.

This is no longer the case, and he has therefore obviously gone through an armor redesign, as I’ll show later. His coloring is also slightly different. More of a burnt red rather than the bright red in this picture. And his eyes are green instead of red now as well.

Again, make sure to visit DeeDeeSteele‘s website if you like it!

Character Art [CAW]: Alyse by DeeDeeSteele

Another piece of artwork of Alyse [first one here]. This time it’s an art request from a few years ago.

I requested this picture through GaiaOnline, I believe (or Menewsha, it has been a bit of time…) from DeeDeeSteele.

I’ll be honest, I like her artwork better than the last one I posted (my drawing). Partially because it’s coloured, and also partially because, well I just like it better.

The pose is dynamic, the color are soft, and the clothing flows well.

This was requested back when I was debating whether her hair was brown, black or auburn. She’s still in her ‘thinner’ stage in this picture as well.

Be sure to visit DeeDeeSteele‘s website! :3
